ARIJUNA S/S 2017
COLLECTION

The Wayúu are a Colombian indigenous tribe located in the desert and northern most part of the country. They are known for their beautiful handmade handbags, called mochilas, and their colorful tunics filled with symbols that represent their religious beliefs and natural surroundings.
The Arijuna Pattern Collection is inspired by these traditional tunics, giving them a contemporary twist in their design and motifs. The colors, silhouettes, and fabric choices are aligned with the fashion trends of Summer 2017. The motifs are based not only on their symbols, but also in the fauna, flora, landscape, and overall people of the region. These tunics are intended for a younger target audience to meet their need for a tropical, colorful, light-weight, yet elegant and fashionable outfit.
